It's with immense excitement and pride that we share some wonderful news: Mr Bug has been shortlisted for the 2023 PetQuip Awards! 🎉 This announcement doesn't just showcase our dedication to sustainable pet treats, but also recognises the innovation and uniqueness we've been striving for since day one.
PetQuip, the reputable trade association, has unveiled a promising shortlist for their 2023 awards. This year, the event encompasses 11 diverse categories, celebrating both suppliers and retailers, as well as distinct product sectors. Notably, 2023 marks the introduction of the New Starter Award, aimed at acknowledging the myriad of businesses who've made their grand entry into the pet industry over the past three years.
According to Susan Fairley, PetQuip's trade federation manager, "The pet trade naturally attracts innovation and originality..." The New Starter category has especially seen entries of unparalleled quality. These businesses, despite their nascent stage, have demonstrated significant growth and promise, with many founders transitioning from corporate roles to passionate entrepreneurship.
Mr Bug's nomination comes in a year where the awards witnessed a record-breaking number of entries. An independent panel will undertake the tough task of judging the finalists in September. All eyes will then be set on October 1st, the inaugural day of the PATS Telford show, when the winners will be announced amidst an evening filled with celebration, recognition, and some top-notch entertainment.
PetQuip director general, Amanda Sizer Barrett, articulately summed up the spirit of the event: “The PetQuip Awards are always a great evening of celebration, recognition and networking... celebrating the best of the best!” We couldn't agree more!
