We are thrilled to announce the addition of a new member to the Mr Bug family - Dr. Adam Bent! With over 12 years of experience working with insects in both academic and industry settings, Dr. Bent brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.
As a research entomologist, his skills span insect husbandry & breeding programs, behavioural & bioacoustics assays, and data analysis & interpretation. Throughout his career, Dr. Bent has been committed to understanding the environmental impacts on insects and exploring sustainable production methods involving these remarkable creatures.
Before joining the Mr Bug team, he worked with field crickets and black soldier flies, species that are regularly utilised in the insect-based food and feed sectors. Dr. Bent earned his PhD from Anglia Ruskin University, demonstrating his dedication to furthering the understanding of insects and their potential applications.
When he's not immersed in entomology, Adam enjoys indulging in artisanal gin and spending time with his beloved dog, Booker, who happens to be a big fan of Mr Bug's dog treats!
